Wood watches by JORD

A little while ago, I was approached by the American watchmaker, JORD, to review one of their sustainably produced watches.  I’ve been interested in ethical fashion for a number of years now, which has come a long way from scratchy hemp shirts. They’re far less scratchy.

So what makes these watches so special and sustainable?

The manufacturing process is eco-friendly.  Each watch is hand-crafted and constructed from sustainable wood, most of which comes from furniture remnants.   JORD watches come in eight different types of wood, which the website describes in detail.  You can find where in the world the wood is sourced, what the grain/texture the wood is and how sustainable the wood is.  Many of the ‘luxury’ woods that go into products like this are pretty bad for the environment, so this does make a difference.

Great, it’s sustainable. So how does it feel wearing one of these watches?

Pretty good actually. The watch I picked is called the Frankie in Ebony and Gold colourway.  I picked this one because I prefer a classic, traditional look.  One of the things I like about JORD watches is they have a little flair but are not ostentatious.  I found this one to be light to wear and versatile.  Most of the designs are unisex, featuring natural colours and simple shapes.  I will say one thing – not all the designs are as cool as mine. They offer four square bamboo styles and they are pretty out there!

Prices range from $129 – $395.  If you’re interested in learning more about JORD watches, click HERE

It’s beautiful price sufficient for me. Personally, if all webmasters and bloggers
made excellent content material as you probably did, the web might be much more helpful than ever before. http://www.yahoo.net
