I take a Lyft pool to school and often end up discussing my concentration in sustainability and interest in ethical fashion. People often ask me where they can buy ethical clothing.
One source of information is a company I’m collaborating with called Ethos Collection, which curates women’s clothing, handbags, accessories, jewellery, and gift boxes. The founders of Ethos have been through the same fast-to-slow fashion journey as I. Their website gives customers a selection of items made from high quality, sustainable or organic materials that are produced through fair trade practices. Everything is handpicked and has a very timeless, classic feel about it.
Ethos invests three percent of their revenues into Kiva, a non-profit organisation that works with microfinance institutions, providing microloans to people without access to traditional banking services. Microloans enable people to gain their financial independence and break the poverty cycle in a dignified way. Ethos focuses on lending to women, singles parents, and retail endeavours around the world.
Recently I’ve been sporting a ribbed tank top by Groceries Apparel that I found through Ethos. On the Ethos site, each brand gets a dedicated page which shares interesting information and justifies their inclusion in the collection. I learnt that Groceries Apparel is made in my very own city and uses a range of non-toxic materials from eucalyptus, hemp and recycled water bottles. I love the way Groceries shares the composition of each garment as “Ingredients” on the care label as it gives my top a much more human feel.
During my first visit to the Ethos Collection site, I was reunited with some old favourite brands like People Tree and Beaumont Organic and I was also introduced to some new friends such as Synergy Organic. Check out the full list of brands carried by Ethos Collection here. If you’re stuck for last-minute Mother’s Day present, they even have a set of Mother’s Day Gift Boxes.

Special thanks to Ethos Collection for sponsoring this post. As always, all opinions are my own.

I love your Ethical Clothing approach, and I think we all should consider this. The green tank top looks beautiful, but I think I’d wear the black color. 😉
